Fall brings a plethora of fall colors, and what a beautiful sight. This fall handprint craft captures the essence of the season and is a great project to do at home or in the classroom.
How to make a fall handprint tree
What you need:
- toilet paper roll
- brown paint
- brown construction paper or recycled cereal boxes (and similar) painted brown
- autumn color paper
- drag
- glue
- pencil or crayon
Step by step instructions
Start by painting the toilet paper roll brown.
You can also paint a little on the inside. Let the paint dry.
Cut two slits, one across the other, at one end of the roll.
Draw your hand on cardboard. Pencils or crayons work well too.
Cut out your hand shape. Round the bottom.
Cut out small leaves from fall colored paper in orange, yellow, brown, red, beige – these are all great colors to choose from.
Fold the small leaves in half to give them depth.
Add a little glue to the leaves and stick them on the handprint.
Add as many as you like.
Push your palm print into the two slots on the paper roll.
Done, your Fall Handprint Tree is ready to display.
