Fall is a wonderful season, the colors you see in nature provide lots of inspiration for kids to create arts and crafts.

This windsock craft is perfect for fall – yellows, oranges and browns are the hot colors of the season. And since fall can be quite windy, a windsock craft is a great option – just display it outside and watch it dance in the wind.

How to Make a Fall Windsock Toilet Paper Roll Craft

What you need:

  • toilet paper roll
  • brown paint
  • autumn color tissue paper
  • fall color craft paper
  • drag
  • glue
  • hole punching machine
  • wool
  • brown marker

Step by step instructions

First, paint a toilet paper roll brown. If you don’t like toilet paper rolls, you can also make one from brown construction paper.

Allow the paint to dry. Once the paint is completely dry, use a single hole punch to punch two holes in one side of the roll.

Thread the yarn (or other object) through the holes.

Tie on top.

Draw a leaf shape on paper. One color is enough but multiple colors will make this craft more beautiful.

Cut out the leaf shape.

Put a little glue on the back of the leaf and stick it to the paper roll.

Cut long strips of tissue paper. Apply glue to one end of the tissue paper strip and stick it to the inside of the toilet paper roll.

Stick tissue paper around.

And that’s it! You’ve just made a fall wind tunnel toilet paper roll craft.
