Four Seasons Agamograph Template

We’re back with another great 4 seasons project for kids, we have a gorgeous four seasons agamograph template that you can print out (or use as inspiration to make your own with your kids or students).

This is a pretty easy paper art craft project that is always a hit with kids, so give it a try.

We love making agamographs (have you checked out our summer agamographs or our dog and cat agamographs? They’re so much fun) and when we got a lot of requests to make more four season crafts, we knew a four season agamograph would really work.

Each season has a picture and you can combine all 4 pictures into a beautiful agamograph that can change interestingly with each season as you rotate it.

There is the same tree in all 4 photos, but the background and setting also change with the seasons.

Winter: the trees are covered with snow and there is a lot of snow on the ground. The snowflakes make the picture more complete.

Spring: Our trees are in full leaf and blooming in spring. The grass is growing and you can see lots of spring flowers.

Summer: The flowers are gone. But the sun is really hot!

Autumn: It’s time for the leaves to fall.

How to use our Agamograph Four Seasons template

What you need

• our printable template (you can find it at the end of this guide)
• printer
• paper (thicker printer paper if you’re using felt-tip pens, regular printer paper is fine if you’re using colored pencils or crayons)
• colorant
• drag
• glue
• Scoring tool (we use a pair of rulers, simple and cheap)

Print out one of our templates (we have two versions). You can get both versions at the end of this tutorial.

Color the pictures.

The version shown in this tutorial already has the “sliced” images so you just need to color them and fold them. Since some young children have difficulty coloring the “sliced” images, we also prepared a “non-sliced” version (children color, cut the strips and glue them to the template).

This next step is optional but will make things easier.

Mark the lines! We use a long ruler to follow the lines and a triangle ruler to mark the lines (you can use any other tool that works or an actual marking tool). The marked lines will fold easily.

Cut out the agamographs (large squares).

With the accordion fold technique, fold from one side to the other. If you have marked the lines, this will be easy.

Until the end.

You can use them individually or tape them together to have an all in one agamograph for multiple seasons.

There are two ways to do this. You can either glue them together before you start folding, or you can glue them together after you have folded both.
