We love this craft because it’s super simple, super easy to make, and so much fun to assemble and play with.

It doesn’t look scary at all; we bet you’ll love it!

How to Make a Ghost in a Pumpkin Craft

What you need:

  • orange cardboard
  • black cardboard
  • green cardboard
  • white cardboard
  • pencil
  • black marker
  • Googly eyes
  • drag
  • split pin
  • glue

Step by step instructions

Take a pencil and draw an “O” shape on the orange cardboard to form a pumpkin.

Draw a “Banana” shape on the left and right of the “O” shape.

Add two more “banana” shapes.

Then add the last two “banana” shapes.

Use a black marker to sketch.

Cut the pumpkin.

Draw some triangular teeth in the middle of the pumpkin as shown.

Use scissors to cut the pumpkin in half.

Cut along the triangular tooth line.

Use a pin split in half (on the side) to secure the pumpkin sections, then split the two ends of the pin so the pumpkin sections stick together.

Draw two small triangles on black cardboard, a small triangle and a mouth with teeth. Cut them out.

Apply a little glue to these parts and stick them onto the pumpkin.

Draw the tree trunk on green cardboard.

Use a black marker to sketch the tree trunk.

Cut off the stem and stick it on top of the pumpkin.

Draw a ghost on white cardboard.

Use a black marker to sketch out the ghost.

Use scissors to cut out the ghost’s body. Glue googly eyes to the ghost.

Draw the mouth with a black marker.

Apply a little glue to the bottom of the ghost and glue the ghost inside the pumpkin.

All has been done!

Now you can open and close the pumpkin.

And a ghost will appear. Isn’t this a fun Halloween craft?

You can optionally glue the pumpkin lantern onto a straw or craft stick.

Happy Halloween everyone!
