We love unique and fun Halloween cards, and this pop up card is definitely one of them.
There are a lot of fun elements to color and use on your cards, but the most important thing you need is the pop-up mechanism – once you get the hang of this, you’ll be able to create a lot of haunted mansions of your own.
Ready to make your own Halloween cards? Print out our template and get started!
What you need:
Print out our template. We recommend using thicker printer paper but regular printer paper will work.
First, cut out the base of the pop-up card (the rectangle with the dashed lines).
Fold the rectangle in half along the center line. Fold evenly.
Now cut along the two dashed lines on the folded rectangle.
Open it up a bit and push the middle section (between the two cuts) forward. “Close” the rectangle and press down to form a new fold.
Open it up a little more, find the two smaller dashed lines and cut into them. Push the middle section forward again and create a new fold.
Your base is complete.
Time to decorate. Color the base as you like, we colored one with a marker and the other with ink and drew the details with a black marker.
Next, select the components you want to use from the second page of the template.
Color them.
Cut them out.
Stick them on the card.
Once you are happy with your card, take a piece of cardstock in the color you like and fold it in half.
Glue your embossed Halloween card to the inside of the folded cardstock.
Done!
Happy Halloween!
