This awesome DIY Valentine’s Day card is easy to make, even for the “clumsy” crafter because you can use a template to make the card.

How to make heart balloon cards

What you need:

  • colored construction paper – 4 or 5 different colors including white
  • Drag
  • Craft glue
  • Black gel pen
  • Pencil – to trace the pattern
  • Template

Follow the step-by-step instructions below

Take different colored papers and trace the patterns on the paper.

Carefully cut out the drawn patterns from the cardstock.

Choose where to place the heart shaped balloon on the card.

Take any 2 heart shapes, cut them out, fold them in half and apply glue along the folds. Place the 2 folded hearts next to each other where the balloons will be placed.

Take the third heart shape you just cut out and fold it in half again.

Apply glue along the fold and carefully place it between the 2 hearts from the previous step.

Take the other cut out pieces of the balloon and glue them underneath the 3D heart pattern to complete the balloon.

Similarly, make the remaining heart shaped balloon.

Now it’s time to glue the clouds.

To give the clouds a floating effect, glue a small piece of cardstock underneath them. Don’t forget to write “love is in the air” on the large cloud before gluing it to the card.

While this step is optional, adding a thin colored border to the top and bottom edges of the card will help give the card a more vibrant look.

Finished!
