Porcupine shaped stone

What you need

  • rocks (river rocks collected on your next hike or picked up at the dollar store or craft store)
  • brown acrylic paint
  • beige acrylic paint
  • paint brush
  • black marker

Step 1

Wash the stone and dry to remove any dirt. Paint one coat of beige. Let dry. Paint over brown, leaving the top beige.

Step 2

You can add some texture by adding multiple layers of brown (wavy) paint. Create a brown spot for the nose. Let dry completely.

Step 3

Once the paint is completely dry, draw in spikes, eyes, and nostrils with a black marker. You’re done. Repeat as many times as you like :).

So how many of these painted hedgehog rocks can you make?
