This step by step snowman drawing tutorial will teach you how to draw a snowman picture (a cute one) in no time.
We’ve drawn a winter hat and twig for hands but there are so many possibilities you could use – snowballs, no hat, cooking pot, twigs for hair, baseball caps…. Let your imagination guide you.
Drawing a snowman is a great activity to do in school for a Christmas theme or winter theme.
In fact, all of our drawing tutorials are kid-friendly and perfect for classroom use, even better because we also provide handy drawing tutorial printouts.
What you need:
Start by drawing a circle.
Snow doesn’t have to be a perfect circle, so don’t stress about it, snow isn’t perfect so snowmen have bumps and dents too.
Draw a curve just above the middle of the circle – if you are drawing a winter hat for a snowman.
Draw another curve above the first curve.
Also, draw a circle at the top to complete the shape of the hat. You can also add more details to the hat if you want.
Draw a carrot nose (or round nose).
Draw two larger dots for the eyes and a few smaller dots for the mouth.
Next is the scarf.
And next is the snowman body. Make it nice and chubby.
Draw 3 large buttons on the snowman’s body and scarf details.
Draw stripes on a scarf.
Draw hands. They can be tree branches or snowballs.
Color your snowman drawing.
