These creepy crawlies are fun to draw all year round, but they peak around Halloween – if you want to draw more Halloween characters, check out our guide to drawing bats or our guide to drawing pumpkins so the spider doesn’t feel lonely.
You can make it cute or creepy – draw fans or scratch them completely and draw a happy grin. Make some eyes or a set of 8 that look creepy – either way this is a pretty simple tutorial to follow.
What you need:
Start by drawing a large circle for the spider’s body. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect – an oval will work just as well.
Draw a wide “U” shape below the circle. This will form the spider’s head.
A pair of eyes and fangs if you want to create a scary spider.
Next are the legs. Draw the first pair of legs.
Then there is the second.
And repeat on the other side.
If you want the spider to hang from its web, draw a straight line from its “butt”.
Done! You have learned how to draw a spider.
Color your spider. This step is completely optional but makes a difference.
