All of our drawing tutorials for kids are designed to be easy to follow, so this one is no exception. Once your child has finished drawing this picture, why not try drawing some other ocean animals? Let them try drawing an octopus or maybe have them draw a shark!
What you need:
Start by drawing a straight line. A letter I.
Draw two more lines, one to the right and the first and one to the left.
Draw 2 more lines. These lines will determine the shape of your starfish drawing.
Draw a line around the first line. It doesn’t have to be perfect like there is nothing in nature.
Continue with the next line, from the left of the first line or from the right.
Continue drawing around your line.
Your starfish drawing is starting to look like a starfish.
If you want to draw a cute starfish, draw eyes and a smile in the middle of the drawing.
Add dots! To make your drawing look a little more realistic, draw dots on the starfish’s arms.
That’s it, you’ve learned how to draw a starfish, the only thing left to do is color your amazing drawing.
