Frogs and shrimps are among the most notable rainforest inhabitants.

The jaguar and sloth are also fun additions to this set.

Last but not least, we also have capybaras and parrots.

Do you know? They are called poison dart frogs because indigenous people used their poison to make poison darts.

Do you know? Ocelots are most active at night.

Do you know? The ring-tailed lemur’s tail is longer than its body!

Instructions step by step

While each printed sheet has simple instructions, it is also a step-by-step guide that details each step on how to assemble these puppets.

If you print the black and white version, have your child color the puppets first.

Once colored, cut the pattern along the dotted line. Older children can also cut along the puppet’s outline.

Also cut out two strips of paper.

Take the paper strips and fold them along the dotted lines.

Take the finger puppet and fold it along the three dotted lines at its mouth.

Make sure the folds are nice and crisp.

It doesn’t matter which way you fold them when you make the folds.

Once all the folds are done, bring the top fold down to the bottom fold to create a puppet.

Take the first strip of paper and apply glue to the area that has the word glue on it.

Glue it to the back of the puppet.

Do the same with the other one.

All has been done! You have created the first of our 10 printable rainforest animal finger puppets.
