Instructions for drawing Christmas lights step by step
Version 1 – How to draw simple Christmas lights
This is the easiest way to draw Christmas lights.
Step 1
Start by drawing a simple curved line.
Step 2
Draw small rectangles on the line, they must be evenly spaced to some extent.
Step 3
Draw a light bulb. If you want more detail, you can also draw a simple line inside the rectangle to make the hat look a little more realistic.
Step 4
Make it glow! This step is optional, but it adds extra magic. Draw short lines evaporating from near the top of the bulb.
If you want to create a longer string of lights, start again from step one, drawing another curve starting from the end of the first curve.
Step 5
The last thing to do is color the Christmas lights.
Version 2 – How to draw wavy Christmas lights
Step 1
Draw a wavy line.
Step 2
Draw small rectangles above each up wave and below each down wave.
Step 3
Draw a light bulb on each rectangle.
Step 4
It’s time to make the lights glow brightly – add lines around each bulb.
Step 5
Color your drawing with festive colors.
Version 3 – How to draw Christmas lights
Step 1
Draw a curved line with loops. Just let your hand guide you, but in the end it looks okay.
Step 2
Look at the shape you made and arrange the rectangles. Less is more is the rule here as you can always add additional bulbs later.
When you place the rectangles, think about where the light bulbs will be so you don’t draw them close to each other.
Step 3
Draw a light bulb.
Step 4
Make them sparkle and glow by adding little lines around each bulb.
Step 5
Festival colors.
