The best thing about this Easter craft is the fact that all the colors and patterns of the socks work. Bunnies will look great in most popular colors like white, black and gray as well as other colors (Easter pastel colors will be super cute).

Are you ready to try these? Let’s do them!

How to Make a Sock Bunny

What you need:

  • drag
  • sock
  • uncooked rice
  • elastic
  • black marker
  • ribbon

Step-by-step instructions

Start by filling the sock. While you don’t need any aids for this, using a glass and placing the sock inside and on the edges of the glass will make filling the sock a lot easier.

Fill the sock with rice.

Wrap the rubber band around the top of the sock.

To shape the body and head, gently squeeze the bunny’s middle.

Place one or two rubber bands around the area between the body and head.

You can glue a large pom pom onto the bunny for the tail, or you can flatten part of the body and secure it with a rubber band.

Let’s make the ears. You can trim the sock if it’s too long.

Cut the top part in half to make two ears.

Don’t cut all the rubber.

Shape the ears with scissors.

Use a black marker to draw the nose (draw a small x) and eyes (two simple dots).

Now you can leave it as is or go the preferred route by using ribbon to cover the rubber band.

Wrap the ribbon around the base of both ears (use glue to secure).

All has been done!

Your easy no-sew sock bunny is ready for Easter!

What a great way to reuse unpaired socks for your Easter crafting adventures!
