Ladybug Puppet Printable Template

Meet the ladybug. Without this ladybug printable, your child will be running around pretending to have a talking ladybug by their side in no time.

Making your own puppet is definitely a fun experience. This ladybug puppet can be made using our printable template, which you can find at the end of this tutorial, or without it. It’s really that easy.

How to make a ladybug puppet

What you need:

  • our printable templates
  • coloring materials
  • drag
  • glue

Or:

  • black paper
  • red paper
  • drag
  • glue
  • Googly eye patches or wobbly eyes

Step by step instructions

Print out the template. First, color it.

If you don’t use our template, the steps are the same, just make the body with black paper and the wings with red paper.

Also, color a pair of wings.

Cut off the wings.

Fold the puppet body – following the dotted lines on the template.

Apply glue to the side that says glue.

Press the other end into the glued part.

Fold in half, colored side inside.

Fold along the dashed lines – an M shape will form.

Stick a pair of wings.

And you’re done.

Your ladybug puppet is ready to play.
