Penguin Crafts No Sewing

What you need
- 1 black sock
- 1 colored sock to make a hat
- rice
- elastic band (or thread)
- white and orange felt
- ribbon
- glue gun
- felt glue
- Marker or paint
- drag
Start by stuffing the black sock with rice (you will need a decent amount). Once you are happy with the amount of rice and the rough shape of your sock penguin, tie a rubber band around the top. We used two rubber bands to make things more secure.
Now take another elastic band and place it just above the middle of the sock, separating the body from the head. You may have to shape the body a little with our hands. Again, we used 2 elastic bands to make sure it was secure.
Cut off the excess stocking. You can secure the top with a little glue from a hot glue gun. Cut a white oval (measured against the body to keep things accurate) from white felt. Glue it to the stocking with felt glue (a hot glue gun will work too).
Cut a small beak out of orange felt and glue it to the head. Draw two black eyes with a black marker.
Add ribbon to make a scarf (apply with glue gun or glue – sometimes ribbon is difficult to attach, we find these two glues work best with ribbon.).
Finally cut out a colorful sock (in the middle). Roll it up a bit to make a hat shape and place it on top of the penguin.
