If your kids love to color, be sure to check out our collection of great fall themed coloring pages, or if they’re a fan of owls, maybe here’s an owl craft with paper plate – it’s great for fine motor skills.
What you need:
Print out the form. You can use regular printer paper for this craft and it will work fine, or you can use thicker printer paper/cardboard for more durability – especially if your child is coloring in a black and white pattern using watercolor or similar coloring materials.
If you print the owl craft template in black and white, let your child color it before cutting out parts of the template.
After coloring, or if you printed a pre-colored craft template, cut out the craft template.
Cutting around the frame on the background (panel with owl image) is optional.
The hardest part of this pattern is cutting the hole in the tree – instruct the children to poke a hole in the middle of the hole in the tree and work their way from there with scissors.
Next, fold along the dotted lines along the stem.
Makes the folds nice and sharp.
Apply glue to the folds (in the white area with the word glue on it).
Glue the tree trunk to the background.
Press for a while until the glue hardens and you’re done.
The adorable 3D owl coloring page is complete and ready to hang. It makes the best fall bulletin board decoration.
With thousands of crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing guides to print, you’ll always have the resources you need at hand. Perfect for both parents and teachers!
