Paper Circle Crab Craft

Here’s an easy craft idea for summer vacation or a cute end-of-school project – make a round paper crab craft.

This one is really sweet and easy, making it perfect for preschool and kindergarten.

The last days of the school year? It’s perfect because it doesn’t require much effort (or focus and patience). An activity to do on your family vacation? You can set it up right away, so it’s perfect again. A summer camp project? It can be a great card to send to friends and family.

How to make crab-shaped crafts with paper

What you need:

  • red construction paper (or any other color you feel matches the crab’s color)
  • blue paper for base
  • black marker
  • two big round eyes
  • Punch paper in 2 sizes or two circles to trace around

Instructions step by step

Start by creating circles.

If you have round paper punches, make circles with those, if you can’t find round objects of different sizes – like glasses and jars, then draw around them. .

You will need 1 large circle and 4 small circles.

Fold all circles in half.

Glue the larger half of the circle onto the background paper (lower half of the paper – in the middle).

Make the claws – glue two smaller folded circles on top of the larger circle, creating a V shape.

Do the same with the remaining pair of circles.

Draw a set of legs with a black marker.

Draw a line from the claw to the body of your paper crab.

Glue two big eyes (or draw eyes) on top of the crab’s body.

Draw a line from the eyes to the body with a black marker.

All has been done! Your paper circle crab craft is complete.
