How to make rabbit-shaped paper crafts
What you need:
- pencil
- drag
- glue
- colored paper (we chose beige, gray and pink)
- black marker
Step-by-step instructions
You will need a sheet of paper (preferably construction paper) as a base for this Easter art project. We go with a warm beige paper. Your child can choose any color they want, but it’s best to choose something that contrasts nicely with the bunny you’re making.
Sketch it out
Doing this project will be easiest if you create an outline that you will later fill in with scraps of paper. Start by drawing a circle in the middle of the paper.
Continue drawing two large ears on the circle.
Next draw the body.
Head
Ask the kids to tear up the paper they will use for their bunny. They will need many smaller pieces.
Apply glue to a part inside the outline of the rabbit’s body.
It’s time to start the fun! Glue torn pieces of paper to the bunny’s head.
It would be easiest if they started with the outlines and worked their way inward.
Fill the entire area, one by one.
Ears and body
You can leave the inside of the ear blank or fill it in and cover it with another color paper.
We make the inside of the pink bunny’s ears. So, ask young artists to tear pink or other colored paper into smaller pieces.
Apply glue to the inside of the ear.
And glue the pink pieces inside.
Face
Glue on a pair of googly eyes.
This bunny also needs a nose. Let the kids cut out a nose shape, it can be round, square or even heart-shaped.
Use a black marker to draw the mouth of a small bunny.
All has been done!
We think our bunny is adorable!
