I’m really excited to share these 3D paper flower craft coloring pages with you because they bring a whole new dimension to coloring. They combine two of my passions, intricate coloring and detailed paper crafts.
However, if you prefer paper crafts to adult coloring pages, there is a printable version available to color!
3D Paper Craft Flower Coloring Pages
What you need to make these beautiful paper craft flowers, beautiful 3D coloring pages
- flower templates (black and white coloring pages or pre-colored pages)
- coloring medium (I highly recommend using something that is absorbent – we don’t usually like this when coloring but it was worth it this time as the flower will be colored on both sides)
- glue (I used glue sticks, I think glue pens are a great option too)
- drag
- round pen to curl petals
Print your flowers. I made different sizes to color and 3 different sizes pre-colored so you can make a lot of flowers (print as many as you want), the smallest ones can be a little tricky. There are also some leaves to color and pre-color to make them look nicer.
Color the parts of the flower (the circle with the number eight as the base so you don’t need to color that part).
Cut out all parts.
Curve the petals by wrapping them around the round pen.
You will see a straight dashed line at the bottom of each petal. Cut along that line.
To the left of the dashed line, there is another dashed line that marks the edge of the small triangle where you will apply glue. Apply glue and move the right side of the petal so that the straight dashed line (the line you cut earlier) lines up with the diagonal dashed line. Leave it there for a moment to let the glue set.
Repeat with all the other petals. Arrange them by size, you should have 8 large (outer) petals, 8 medium (middle) petals, and 8 small (inner) petals.
Take the base and start gluing 8 large petals. Apply glue to the petals and glue them to the outer edge of the base, with the center of the petal in the middle of the line on the base. Next, glue a petal on the opposite side of the one you just glued. The remaining two petals will be in between the two you just glued. Glue the remaining 4 petals in between the 4 petals you already have, this way they will overlap slightly (and evenly).
Do the same with the middle lines, but not centered with the line but between the two lines.
The smallest shapes are centered with the lines at the base.
Take the middle part of the flower, which also has small petals, cut them out (they should still be attached to the middle part but not to each other). Bend them a little. Add glue to the bottom and stick the middle part of the flower to the middle of your flower. And there you have it, your 3D Paper Flower.
You can even play around with them a little, like taking the largest flower and sticking a smaller one in to create a more stunning 3D paper flower.
