Paper Garden Craft

Want to have your own vegetable garden that grows all year round? Let the kids make this paper gardening craft.

We’ll be growing carrots and radishes, but your kids can grow other vegetables too!

This craft might even get your kids more interested in vegetables!

Your child will grow carrots and radishes right on the paper bed without soil or water.

How to make paper garden crafts

What you need:

  • light blue cardboard
  • paper (brown, white, yellow, red, orange, green and light brown)
  • pencil
  • black marker
  • drag

Step by step instructions

Cut out the pattern.

Cut a strip of brown paper wider…

…and glue it to the bottom of the blue cardboard.

Cut a long strip of green paper.

Use scissors to make small cuts and cut the strip of fabric from end to end.

Stick it on the brown strip.

Draw around the fence several times on light brown paper.

Cut it out and glue it back on.

Cut thin strips of light brown paper.

And glue them horizontally to the fence.

Draw around the radish pattern on the red paper…

… and around the leaf on the green paper.

Cut out the leaves, stick them on the top of the radish and draw eyes and a mouth on them.

Draw around the carrot pattern on the orange paper…

…and cut the pieces out.

Draw around the leaf on green paper.

Cut them out and use scissors to cut a zigzag pattern on the leaves.

Glue the carrots and leaves together and draw eyes and a mouth on them.

Then glue the radish and carrot to the brown stem.

Draw a sun shape around the yellow paper, cut it out and glue it.

Draw clouds and sun on white paper, cut them out and glue them together.

Done.

Look how happy these vegetables are.
