Paper Plate Toucan Craft

How to make Toucan Craft paper plates

What you need:

• paper plate
• pencil
• drag
• adhesive
• black marker
• colored paper (blue, black, red)
• marker (black and red)
• acrylic paint (black, green, red and yellow)
• paintbrush

Step-by-step instructions

Body

Use your pencil and draw a shape as shown in the image below.

Cut it out. You can help your child with this part if they have difficulty with cutting.

Draw a line above the cut you made.

Our toucan will have its beak here.

Create a half circle as shown, right on the paper plate. Our Toucan will have its face here.

Go ahead and paint the half circle yellow.

The remaining shape will be green – the beak.

Go ahead and paint everything else except the pointed triangle (the end of the beak) black.

The excess we cut out earlier will also be black.

We’ll use it for the toucan’s tail in a few steps.

Paint the space to the right of the green part red. It will be the tip of the toucan’s beak.

If you want to paint this part a different color, go ahead.

Draw a red mouth for the toucan.

Cut out a green circle

Place a black dot in the green circle for the eye.

Keep your eyes on the toucan.

Take the piece of paper you colored black (the tail) and stick it on the bird.

Draw a feather on black paper.

Now draw a smaller feather on the red paper.

Add the red feather to the bottom of the black feather.

Glue the wings onto the bird.
