Materials used

Let’s start!

Step-by-step instructions

Draw a heart-shaped leaf by hand. Use a white marker and pink cardstock.

Step 1

Cut out heart leaves with scissors.

Step 2

Punch out two red circles with your circle punch.

Step 3

Push the split pins through the center of the circles and then through the pink heart-shaped leaf.

Step 4

Separate the ends of the pin so that the circles remain attached to the leaf.

Step 5

Ladybug’s body

Cut out eight red strips 1 cm wide. Choose the height you want for the strips. These will be used to form the body of the ladybug.

Fold the ends of each red stripe.

Step 7

Apply a little glue on the folded parts and form an X shape on the red circles as shown in the picture.

Step 8

Glue the rest of the strip.

Step 9

Now decorate your heart-shaped leaf however you want, but remember to draw two small hearts on the pink leaf.

Step 10

Step 11

Cut these circles out.

Step 12

Attach each circle on the red strip and top as shown in this picture.

Step 13

Make sure you leave two blank strip sections on each red stem because we’ll be gluing the ladybug’s head there.

Ladybug’s head

On black cardstock, draw two ladybug heads.

Step 15

Cut off the head with scissors.

Step 16

Attach googly eyes on the head.
