Pine Cone Hedgehog – Fun Nature Crafts for Kids

So as you can see these are super cute! We didn’t have much luck finding many pine cones so we actually bought them from the dollar store!

What you need:

  • pine cones
  • playdough (brown, beige, orange and yellow are all fine, you will need some black for the nose)
  • Alternatively, you can also use air-dry clay (you can take different colors or let the child color it himself).
  • googly eyes (because they always make things more interesting!)

These are super easy to make, all you need is a ball of play dough for the head and 4 rolls of dough for the legs. Push them onto the pinecone and voila! If you’re working with air-dry clay, you’ll have a keepsake that can last a lifetime!

Add a small ball of black playdough for a nose and a pair of googly eyes.
