Pipe Cleaners Head Wreath

Feeling beautiful doesn’t have to be expensive. This straw wreath is not only beautiful, but it’s also fun to make. Using basic materials, you can easily make this wreath.

You can use pink and red for the flowers on the crown or you can switch it up. You can’t go wrong with any flower color when using this tutorial.

You can make dozens of headbands in many different styles.

How to make this toothpick wreath

What you need:

  • Drag,
  • 2 types of pink crepe paper
  • Green pipe cleaner

Step by step instructions

Making a headband is fun because you can make it with materials you already have! Using less than 4 materials, you can create a headband. To start: Cut a long strip of crepe paper.

Then fold it in half like a fan.

After folding in half, start folding like an accordion.

When fully folded, it will look like this.

Continue folding the accordion in half like this.

Next, wrap the bottom of the flower with a light green cleaning stick.

You will trim the top of the flower.

You will cut the flowers to the appropriate length.

You will also want to create different variations of the flower.

When you are done with your flowers, they should look something like this.

Start wrapping the light green and dark green cleaning tubes together, adding and wrapping the flowers.

Continue until wreath is complete.

When finished, the Straw Head Wreath will look complete.

Kids will love completing this wreath and wearing it on their heads!
