It’s time for a little refresh with our insect printed paper ring set for kids.
We’re back with another set of printable ring templates, this time with designs that are perfect for spring (and summer).

Bees, Butterflies, Ladybugs and Flowers
Since you loved our printable bunny, chick, and egg rings so much, we decided to continue the series! Next up are these incredibly adorable insect-printed paper rings.
Like the previous set, these were really fun to design because they feature 3 of my favorite insects. Yes, they are the only insects I like. Bees are an insect that I like from afar.
If you’re a fan of our kids craft ideas, you may have noticed that we have a thing for ladybugs (there are only so many craft ideas to be found on our site) so when it comes to ladybug printables (and printable crafts) ladybugs are a must! The pre-coloured version is lovely but we really hope your child will want to colour in their own using our black and white craft template. There’s absolutely no need to limit yourself to black and red – the possibilities are endless!
The kit had to include a butterfly, not only because it’s one of our favorite insects, but also because it’s so colorful. Again, we hope your child will go crazy for color if you print the template in black and white. Glitter glue makes this template even prettier!
Next we have the bee (or wasp if that is your kid’s favorite). Since my grandfather was a beekeeper, I love these cute little bees for many reasons. But also know how “nice” they can be to sting you.
Since some insects need flowers to rest and recharge (and forage while working), we also include a wreath in this kit.

How to Make Printable Insect Paper Rings for Kids
What you need
- our printable template (you can get it at the end of the tutorial)
- drag
- Coloring media if you decide to print the black and white paper ring template
- paper
- printer

Follow the step-by-step instructions
Print one or both of our handmade templates.
We print on thicker stock (120 gsm) but regular stock will also work for this project.
If you print out our black and white template, it’s best to color the rings before cutting. This is the perfect time to let your creativity flow. We think markers work well, but colored pencils would work just as well. You can always take it a step further and decorate with some glitter (we prefer glitter glue to the ubiquitous glitter powder).
Cut the ring out.
Cut completely round.
To actually create the ring, you need to cut half of the end of the “gray” ring strip at each end of the strip – on opposite sides.
All that remains to be done is assemble the ring.
Create a loop and slide the cuts you made in the previous step together.
The ring should look complete, if not, remove the ring and cut it a little longer.
These cute insect printed paper rings are ready to wear on your fingers.
