How to make printable puppets

What you need:

  • Our printable template
  • coloring material (optional)
  • drag
  • glue

Step-by-step instructions

We will show you how to make a bee (all puppets are assembled the same way).

Have your child color the bee (crayons or highlighters for regular paper, markers work fine for cardboard).

Cut the puppet along the dotted line. Also cut out two strips of paper.

Have children fold along the dotted lines on the puppet.

Next, help your child fold inward along the middle of the mouth (as shown in the picture below).

Ask them to make a crease along the dotted line in the middle.

Run your finger over each fold to make everything smoother.

Once the folds are complete, the bee’s mouth will close.

Next make folds on the paper strip (following the dashed lines).

Apply glue to the first folded strip of paper, making sure to cover the entire surface area marked with “glue”.

Have your child tape a strip of paper to the top (back) of the puppet.

Have them apply glue to the second paper strap.

And stick it on the bottom, making loops for the fingers.

Let the glue dry completely.

Once the glue dries, kids can insert their fingers into the rings and enjoy playing with their new bee finger puppet!

Encourage them to create stories and scenarios, enhancing their imagination and storytelling skills.

Now it’s time to fill the room with even more remarkable fun!

Get ready to create an entire menagerie of printable bug finger puppets that will thrill you.
