How to make a bunny and chick puppet using our pattern

What you need

Follow the step-by-step instructions below

Print out the template. We recommend printing on thicker printer paper as this will make your puppet more durable but regular printer paper, especially if your child is colouring in with crayons, is fine too.

Color in the middle of the pattern.

Also, color in the “accessories” – ears, wings, or whatever you need. Cut out the accessories.

Fold the paper with the puppet along all the dotted lines. Make the folds crisp (either run your finger through all the folds or use a craft stick and run it through the folds).

Fold along both the horizontal and vertical dashed lines.

Place the design facing the table, fold the edges over with large letter glue – and apply glue along the entire length.

Still facing the design side out, fold the other side over the side you just glued and stick them together.

Let the glue dry.

Fold along the dotted lines – making your puppet an M shape.

Take the accessories – fold them along the dotted lines if any.

And glue them to the puppet.

Done and ready to play! Stick your fingers into the puppet and chat away!
