You can never plan too many Halloween crafts for kids! It is one of the best holidays, after all. We shared larger Halloween puppets a few years ago so a newer, more fun version is a long time coming. If you still want more puppet fun, we also have Halloween clothespin puppets waiting for you.

How to make printable Halloween finger puppets
What you need:
- Our printable template
- drag
- glue
- coloring material (optional)
Print best on heavier printer paper although they work well with regular printer paper if your child colors them with crayons or crayons.
Instructions step by step
Print out the templates. We will show you how to make a witch – all puppets are assembled in the same way.
If you’re making a black and white model, let your child color it before cutting out the puppet. This will make things easier.
Once you’ve colored the puppet, cut out the pattern – either by following the dotted line (suitable for younger children) or cutting directly along the outline of the puppet (suitable for older children).
Also, cut out two strips of paper.
Both strips of paper have dotted lines on them and fold along those lines.
It will look like a small bridge.
Next, along the puppet’s mouth there are three dotted lines that also need to be folded.
Start by folding the top dashed line. Next, to make things easier, bring the top fold to the bottom, aligning the lips. This will form a nice crease along the middle of the dotted line of the mouth.
Run your fingers through the folds to make them nice and crisp.
Finally, fold along the dotted line below and you’re done.
Turn the puppet over and glue the strips of paper on, one at the top.
And another one at the bottom.
And that’s it! The puppet only needs one hand to come to life.
