Sheep Paper Plate Craft – Easter Craft Ideas

With Easter just around the corner, we’re upping our Easter craft game – this paper plate lamb craft is a fun option to make during the holiday season.

This cotton ball craft is super soft and fun to make at school or at a classroom Easter party.

If you need a sheep craft idea, this fluffy idea is definitely one to consider. It’s easy, quick, and did we mention fluffy? Oh, how adorable. If you don’t like fluffy, you can easily replace the cotton balls with torn craft paper or just use paper plates without adding anything.

This craft is easy enough for preschoolers and kindergarteners to tackle. We like to use a hot glue gun (not suitable for the youngest kids) for these types of projects, just make sure (and this is super important) that you have a low-temperature hot glue gun for kids to work with.

Regular white school glue can also be used with cotton balls.

Are you ready to get started?

Carefully glue the cotton balls to the paper plate until the plate is full. This is easily done with a hot glue gun, but we have done other paper plate crafts before where we used regular white school glue and it worked just as well (it took longer to dry but it worked just as well).

Draw a circle about 3.5-4″ wide with 1/2-1″ ears (doesn’t have to be exact) for a sheep’s head out of black paper and glue it to the center of your cotton ball. Again, white school glue will work just as well.
