Simple Ladybug Paper Craft

There’s nothing better than simple (and cute) crafts, and the ladybug paper craft we’re sharing today is definitely an easy one to make.

I may not be the biggest fan of insects but ladybugs are definitely one of those insects that I enjoy seeing (and don’t freak out about when I see them).

It’s really hard to make a ladybug like this :).

Spring is the best time of year to make insect crafts, especially on rainy days when kids can’t really play outside.

We are big fans of ladybugs, we really think these cute little bugs are the cutest.

And since we also love quick and easy paper crafts, this ladybug paper craft is also one of our favorites.

Because it’s quick and cheap, this would be a perfect project to do in the classroom, imagine your students creating an entire army of ladybugs and sticking them all over the classroom!

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below

Start by cutting a strip of black cardstock.

Step 1

Glue the two ends of the black strip together to form a round tube, pinching one side to form a teardrop shape.

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

Cut or punch a circle out of red cardstock (you can use a glass cup or lid to draw the circle). Draw seven dots on the red circle and cut it in half.

Ladybugs have 0 to 24 dots, but we think 7 is the perfect number.

Also, stick Google eyes or add vibrating eye stickers to the black ring.

Step 5

You can leave the circle as is or cut it in half.

We thought cutting them in half was the best solution because it made the ladybugs cuter.

Step 6

Glue the paper ladybug’s wings.

Step 7

Rinse and repeat several times if necessary.

We’ve had fun with ladybugs before when we made these fun leaf ladybugs.
