Simple Owl Craft Template

We have prepared a fun owl craft idea for you, print out our simple owl craft template and make a pair of adorable owl hugs.

Owls are a fun craft project for both fall and Halloween. While you’ll typically find them in brown or white tones in nature, when it comes to crafts, they can be made in every color of the rainbow – just like we paint them.

This simple paper craft is more about coloring than crafting and is therefore a super easy project to make. There is some cutting involved, which helps practice good scissor skills.

Since there is a mommy owl (or daddy owl) and a baby owl made with our printable template, this is a great project for mommy daughter/son or daddy daughter/son.

How to use our simple owl craft template

What you need:

• our printable owl craft template (you can get it at the end of the tutorial)
• printer
• paper (we use regular printing paper, thicker printing paper is better)
• something to color in the template (we used ink pads and stamps – so fun and colorful)
• drag
• glue

Or follow this step by step tutorial on how to make these simple paper owls

Print our templates. We print our templates on regular printer paper.

Color the owl.

We had so much fun coloring with the ink pads. The colors were so bright and fun!

We color the details around the eyes with a marker.

Cut out the pattern.

Turn over and color the back.

Add a small amount of glue to one end of the wing.

Glue the wings together (to form an owl ring).

Repeat with the remaining owl.

There you go, easy as pie! You can place one owl on the other, making them hug each other. So cute!
