This handmade Space Windsock toilet paper roll is amazing!
While toilet paper rolls aren’t the most glamorous thing in the world, if you repurpose them this way, no one will ever guess what’s behind them. Don’t like toilet paper rolls? Use kitchen paper towel rolls or make your own from cardboard. Easy!
Kids love making wind chimes, and while they look pretty, they can be noisy. To avoid that, why not make a wind chime/chime hybrid like this one? It makes no sound and dances beautifully in the wind.
This night sky wind tunnel is a great project to do all year round and because it’s really easy to make, it’s suitable for kids from preschool to kindergarten age (with a little adult help).
What you need:
Start by painting a toilet paper roll (or other object) with black paint.
Let the paint dry. When the paint is completely dry, punch two holes, one horizontally, in one side of the roll.
You can let your child color the stars on their roll of paper or, which is fun for them, let them use a star punch to punch stars out of yellow paper.
Cut long strips of black and blue tissue paper. Glue them to the inside of the roll (alternating black and blue).
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
