We believe that Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day to celebrate love, not just the love between two lovers but also the love between friends – it’s a different kind of love and worth celebrating (especially with children).

Valentine’s Day cards are a great way to show appreciation, so we wanted to share these card making tutorials with all of you.

How to make a rotating heart card for Valentine’s Day

What you need:

  • card base
  • scrapbook paper or craft paper
  • red craft paper or scrapbook paper for
  • circle punch (giant) – you can also use a circle cutter or even cut out circles with scissors
  • drag
  • glue
  • yarn / thread
  • washi tape or clear tape

Step by step instructions

You can make the card base by cutting a letter or A4 sized piece of paper in half and then folding the smaller piece of paper in half.

Trace the bound card onto scrapbook paper.

Open the card and align the scrapbook paper with the right side out (don’t glue it! However, you can use a paper clip to hold it in place).

Use a hole punch to punch holes in both the card and the cardboard.

Your post should look like this.

Set the sticky note aside.

For perfect size, punch out two red circles.

Fold the circles in half and draw half a heart shape (like you want to write the number 2)

Cut out 2 hearts.

Apply glue to one of the hearts and place the thread in the center.

Glue the remaining heart on top.

Wait a moment for the glue to dry.

Place the heart into the hole on the card, position it correctly and secure the thread with washi tape (or clear tape)

Apply glue to the entire surface of the card.

And put the sticker on top.

Wait for the glue to dry.

Once dry, open the card and spin the heart a few times (winding the mechanism ;).

While keeping the heart shape intact, carefully close the card, not allowing the heart shape to rotate.
