Starfish Footprint Art

Have a little foot in your family craving a splash of color to make adorable arts and crafts? Try making this starfish footprint art (or starfish footprint art as they are now called)!

Ocean animal crafts are the perfect place to make during the summer.

Starfish Footprint Art

You don’t need much to make this adorable project! Your child can use one leg or both to do this!

We used two sheets of blue paper – oh how ocean-like – because I simply couldn’t cut it.

Paint the bottom of the foot orange – finger painting is our choice – and press it onto the paper. Rinse and repeat 4 more times in a circular motion – finger pointing to the center of the circle.

With a permanent marker, draw in eyes and mouths and anything else.

If the shape isn’t as cute as you’d like (sometimes the color doesn’t spread evenly or there are gaps in the footprint), you can “fix” it with a paintbrush or use an orange permanent marker – although I think A black pen would also be great – and draw in a starfish shape.

All done! Let it dry and display it on the wall or on the refrigerator!
