It’s easy to make but still looks absolutely cool! You can do a “regular” tail, but if you want a spooky Halloween craft, we totally recommend doing the tail like we did, with a fluffy angry cat tail.
You can make these with regular printer paper or cardstock.
If you are using regular printer paper, we recommend gluing the cat onto another piece of paper (to act as a stand) as it will not stand on its own – at least not for long. A papercraft cat will be able to stand on its own.

How to make super simple black cat paper crafts
What you need:
- black paper (craft paper or a regular sheet of black printer paper, but if you choose the latter, you will also need to make a paper base to glue the cat onto so it can stand)
- pink paper for nose
- yellow paper for eyes
- black marker
- glue
- drag
You can also make a tabby cat, a white cat, a black and white cat… even a rainbow cat!

Fold the black paper. You can fold it in half or like we did (fold it in half).
Cut off the “extra” part and set it aside, we will use this to make some body parts.If you fold the paper in half, you won’t have this extra paper, so you can use the other “extra” paper to create certain body parts.
Cut a third of the paper and set aside.You don’t have to be exact when doing this. You can always use another sheet of paper.
From the larger sheet of paper, cut a U shape (opposite to the fold).
This will create the body of your black cat paper craft.
You can trim a little bit at the edges to make it look nicer (totally optional).
Fold the legs so the cat can stand.
Cut the tail.
Glue the tail to the body.
Cut off the top and decorate.We cut a half circle out of the folded paper (into a circle folded in half).
Glue both ears.
And eyes and nose.
Stick the head to the body.
