Are you ready for another great agamograph to do with your child or students? This time we have prepared a simple Agamograph Template for your child to color and fold.
Coloring agamographs is definitely a creative way to practice fine motor skills while also having a lot of fun.

If you’ve made agamographs before, you already know how beautiful they are. But if this is your first time making one, the excitement is even greater. An agamograph is a combination of two different images, alternately interlaced. When you view the finished agamograph, you’ll see one complete image from one angle and the other from the opposite angle.
This time we’ll be making a back to school themed agamograph (you’ll find the printable back to school agamograph template at the end of the tutorial).
From one angle you will see a colorful set of crayons, and from the other angle you will see a giant apple.

How to Make an Agamograph with our Back to School Agamograph Template
What you need:
- our printable agamograph template for back to school
- coloring materials (pencils, markers, crayons…) (we like Tombow Dual Brush Markers)
- drag
- ruler
- scoring tool (we usually use something available, in this case a wooden stick with a pointed end)
- printer
- paper (thicker paper is best, but regular printer paper will work too)

Or follow this step-by-step tutorial with tips and tricks on how to create a back-to-school Agamograph
Print out our back to school agamograph template. We recommend using thicker paper (we used 120gsm) but if you choose regular paper you will get pretty much the same results.
You can get our printable template at the end of this tutorial.
Then, color in the pattern.
We chose bright and beautiful colors for both the apple and the crayon as this makes the image really stand out.
Cut out the colored agamograph. (You can also fold along the lines before cutting, whichever is easier for you.)
We will need to score the lines.
You can place a ruler along the lines and mark them with a marker or a “do-it-yourself” tool or an alternative (we used a wooden stick with a pointed tip, another ruler could also be used).
Use the accordion fold technique to fold along the marked lines.
Continue folding until you have folded along all the lines.
Now that you have the entire agamograph folded, unfold it a little so you can see each image from a different angle.
Now all you need to do is find a nice location to display and enjoy your work.
