How to Make a Printable Big Mouth Crocodile Surprise

What you need

Step by step instructions

This is a popular craft because kids don’t really have to do much to complete it. If your kids are having a bad day or you just want to keep things simple for the day, this craft is perfect. As you can see, not only is it adorable, but it can also be educational when paired with the right educational book or video.

You will need to print out the template. Printing it out will help this process go smoothly! You may want to print an extra copy or two, just in case.

Lay the coloring sheet flat so your child or student can color it as desired. If the sheet is wrinkled or uneven, it will be difficult to color.

This is where you let your child color! They will have fun choosing colors to color the crocodile, duck, and the surrounding area. You can talk to your child about appropriate colors or let them choose the colors they want to use.

Next, you will fold the paper along the top of the crocodile’s mouth. Once folded, you can move on to the next step.

Then you will bring that fold forward and align it with the bottom of the mouth. This is to create the illusion that the crocodile has a HUGE mouth and can swallow very large things. Let your child have fun learning how the mouth works.

There is no doubt that your child or student will love the end result of this fun craft. Get creative and add other things if you want. Add some glitter or paint with watercolor paint. The options are endless!
