Sweet Lollipop Flowers

So I think it’s okay to be a little cheesy sometimes… So let’s give a lollipop bouquet to all the special people in our lives, a sweaty gift with a little fun.

This gift is just in time for Valentine’s Day but is a homemade gift that will be treasured all year round.

I came across these adorable lollipop hearts on Pinterest and while they were adorable, I wanted to make something that was Valentine’s Day appropriate but also not heart themed – hence the flowers, but I had quite a few other fun ideas in mind, I just needed to find the right lollipop.

What you need:

  • lollipops – I buy lollipops at my local store, but I really like these emoji lollipops
  • red, yellow and green paper
  • glue, scissors
  • scallop hole punch (optional, I used a 2 inch one, if you are using larger lollipops you will need a larger one)

Make flowers

Using a scallop hole punch, punch holes in yellow paper (as many times as you need). Find a circle that is larger than these scallop circles (I used a medium sized mason jar) and trace it onto the red paper. Use a pencil to draw a flower shape inside the circle. Fold the red paper over a few times so you can make multiple flowers at once and start cutting out the flower shape. Glue the yellow circle onto the red flower shape.

Cut a strip of green paper the same width as the lollipop stick and wrap it around the stick, adding glue as you go. Cut a leaf shape out of the green paper and glue it to the wrapped stick.

Now glue the lollipop stick to the flower part, I used packing tape because it makes removing the lollipop stick much easier.

Enjoy your lollipop flowers! I hope you make a complete bouquet and spread the love!
