Toilet Paper Roll Tree Craft Idea

Combine recycled materials and nature’s craft materials and let your kids make this fun toilet roll tree craft idea.

This craft is the perfect opportunity to talk about different types of plants and how to identify them by their leaves. We love crafts that combine learning and fun.

This is a great fall craft, but it can be done any time of year.

Dried leaves are best, but you can also make this dish with fresh leaves (it won’t keep for long, though).

How to make craft ideas using toilet paper rolls

What you need:

  • drag
  • glue
  • cardboard (blue)
  • scroll
  • fresh or fallen leaves

Step-by-step instructions

We will need a cardboard or cardboard to make this.

Carefully cut the toilet paper roll in half along its length.

Set aside half for this project.

Apply glue to the edges of half the toilet paper roll.

Glue the toilet paper roll to the bottom part of the light blue cardboard. This makes the stem.

Start gluing the leaves to the cardboard.

Gradually add more leaves.

You can even stack the leaves on top of each other to create a fuller canopy.

Continue adding leaves until you are satisfied with the overall look of your handmade tree.

Simple and creative!

If you use fresh leaves, we recommend taking a photo of the finished piece.

We really like the look of this canopy!
