We have another love-filled craft project to share with you – this Valentine’s Heart Fingerprint Tree is perfect for kids and kids at heart. It’s super easy to make and looks so adorable.
The great thing about this project is that it’s easy to set up and pretty quick to make so it could easily be used as a classroom project. It could also be used as a Valentine’s Day card.
What you need:
First, we need to make a heart shape. The easiest way to do this (in our honest opinion) is to fold a piece of paper in half and draw a heart shape in half. Then, you can easily cut out the heart, just cut along the line.
Place the heart-shaped paper on top of a regular white sheet of paper. For younger children, you can secure it with tape to keep it from moving as they create.
Use a black marker to draw a tree inside the heart shape.
Now it’s time to get dirty with your fingers. Dip your fingers (thumb and fingertips for different shapes) into the ink pad and “stamp” them all over the heart shape. Do this until you are happy with the thickness of the leaves on the tree :).
Remove the heart shaped paper.
Draw the rest of the trunk if needed.
Isn’t this the most wonderful Valentine’s card?
If you liked this project, we think you’ll also like this fingerprint winter tree craft.
Have you done it yet? We’d love to see it (and even recommend some) – send your pictures to info@easypeasyandfun.com
