Water Lily Paper Plate Craft

If you have ever wanted to create a water lily based craft, then this water lily paper plate craft is for you. Just follow this tutorial to create a DIY craft.

Water lilies are popular because they are found in tropical climates all over the world. They thrive in slow moving water! So the next time you see a frog on a water lily leaf, think about how long it has been growing.

If you’ve ever looked at a pond and seen a water lily floating around, this is what it looks like. If you’re studying water lilies, this is the perfect craft to make while you’re learning.

How to make lotus paper plate crafts

What you need:

  • Paper plate
  • Green acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush, scissors, pencil
  • Glue
  • Pink and yellow paper

Step by step instructions

Start by gathering all the materials to make this paper plate water lily craft.

Draw a lotus leaf shape on a paper plate and cut it out.

Paint it green.

Draw a circle on the pink paper.

Cut out the circle.

Cut leaf sample.

Draw many circles on the pink paper.

Cut everything out.

Use the edge of the scissors to pull the petals to curve them.

Continue using scissors to bend the leaves.

Stick them into the circle in multiple rows.

Continue pasting.

Continue until the flower is complete. When finished, it should look like a curly flower!

Cut a long strip of yellow paper.

Fold in half and cut with scissors from end to end.

Continue wrapping the yellow paper.

Glue them together. Gluing them together will give the flower a great look!

Go ahead and add it to the middle of the flower. Look how beautiful the yellow highlight in the middle is.

Place the flowers on the lotus leaf.

You now have a completed water lily paper plate.
