Wooden Spoon Bee Craft – Spoon Puppets

Spring is here and the insects are finding their way outside to enjoy the sunshine. We started making spoon puppets and this spoon bee is just the first of many to come.

Bee shaped wooden spoon crafts

What you need

  • wooden spoon
  • yellow paint
  • comb
  • Black Sharpie Marker
  • green construction paper
  • glue and scissors

How to make this bee craft

Color wooden spoon yellow. Let dry completely.

Once the paint is completely dry, draw on the face and lines with a black Sharpie (or other permanent marker).

Cut two wings from blue cardstock and glue them to the back of a wooden spoon (white school glue works great).

This fun craft is perfect for reading time.

The Little Bee Book

This Little Bee book is perfect to pair with this craft (or vice versa) as it follows a little bee flying through the forest, meeting all sorts of different animals along the way (perfect for making even more fun puppets).
