We love everything Christmas! But most of all we love making Christmas crafts, especially with kids because it’s one of the best ways to create holiday memories.

Most kids won’t remember the gifts they received in a given year (unless it was something really special), but spending time with you and creating… That’s something they’ll remember for a lifetime. There’s nothing better than spending quality time together, and one way to do that is through crafts.

These little Christmas trees can be left plain (green or decorated with a little ornament to color) or you can decorate them with tassels, gems or other small ornaments.

Ready? Let’s start crafting!

How to make a 3D paper Christmas tree

What you need:

  • our stencil/printable template (you can get it at the end of this tutorial)
  • green or white paper and coloring materials
  • printer
  • drag
  • glue

step by step

Print sample.

Cut out small paper Christmas trees.

Fold them in half.

Stick another one on. The more the merrier, as your tree will look fuller.

Younger children can do less work as this is easier to decorate the tree.

Once you have them all glued together, apply glue to one of the ends (the Christmas tree half).

“Open the tree” and glue the two ends together.

Done!
