How to make 3D paper snowman crafts

What you need:

  • card or paper base
  • White paper
  • The paper has several colors or coloring tools to color the paper
  • drag
  • glue

Optional: punch circular paper holes

Step-by-step instructions

Cut a few circles from white paper.

You can use a paper hole punch (kids love it) or use a drinking glass as a stencil for your circles (or any other round object). Draw around the glass and cut out circles with scissors.

You’ll need quite a few, 8-12 works pretty great.

There’s nothing wrong with having more or less – older kids will enjoy making snowmen with more circles because they look fuller, while younger kids can use less to complete. craft sooner and don’t lose interest along the way.

Apply glue to one of the circles and stick it on the background paper.

Cut a square for the snowman’s hat (from black or other colored paper).

Also cut a strip of paper of different colors to decorate the hat (completely optional).

Glue the paper strip onto the hat, cutting off excess paper if necessary.

Apply glue to the back of the hat and stick it on top of the white circle you previously glued on the base paper.

Cut a long strip of black paper and stick it on the hat to complete.

Next, let’s make a scarf. Cut a rectangle of paper in the color you want and glue it to the bottom of the white circle.

Fold the circles

Fold the remaining paper circles in half.

We ended up with 12 of them.

Take one of the folded circles, apply glue to half of it…

And paste it on top of the white circle (half).

Take the remaining folded circle, apply glue and stick it on the other half of the white circle.

Continue with the remaining folded circles, gluing one over the other.

Once you have them all glued, glue the last two together.

Open them and spread them evenly.

Time to decorate

Let’s make the eyes. Cut two small thin strips of black paper and make rolls from them (glue the ends together).

Apply glue on them and stick them on the snowman.

Cut the nose, fold at the wider end, apply glue to the folded part.

Stick to the snowman.

All has been done! Now you know how to make 3D Paper Snowman Crafts.
