What you need:

  • Our printable template (comes with 5 Halloween monsters)
  • drag
  • glue
  • color supplies

Step-by-step instructions

Start by printing out the template. You can use regular printer paper, however, heavier printer paper is better.

If printing in black and white, you can print the base (head and ears) on green paper.

Have your child color the mouth, eyes, and latch. They can also dye their hair or draw pictures on black paper.

Cut out all puppet parts.

If your child decides to draw and cut their hair on black paper, place the hair square on top of the black paper and cut along the shape.

While keeping the white hair rectangle and the black rectangle together (nicely aligned), cut along the dashed lines.

Let’s build the base of this Frankesntein Halloween puppet. Take the top and fold it along all the dotted lines.

Apply glue to the areas marked with the word glue.

Close the template and press down to secure the glue.

Make hair

To make your hair, you will need to roll each strip of paper. You can roll them with your fingers or you can use a pencil or similar tool. This will make the hair curly.

Apply glue to the top part of the puppet (where the two ends are glued together) and glue the hair on.

Next are the ears.

And the nose! For the nose, fold along the dotted line, apply glue and stick it on the puppet, forming an arc.

Also includes mouth, eyes and bolts.

All done, now you know how to make a Frankenstein puppet.

Party with him along with our other fun monsters!
