How to make a butterfly paper roll craft

What you need:

  • paper roll
  • drag
  • pencil
  • black marker
  • glue
  • blush
  • blue, pink, yellow, body color, white paper

Step by step instructions

Cut a piece of yellow paper about the size of a roll of paper.

Cut it out and stick it on the toilet paper roll.

On the body colored paper, draw a circle for the head.

Just cut it out.

Draw another circle, but this time on white paper.

Place two circular pieces of paper together as shown.

Draw eyes and mouth for the butterfly, use red blush to contour.

Cut two thin strips of blue paper; these will be the whiskers, glue them to the top of the head.

The strips should be super thin as shown.

Roll the paper strip up and apply glue to the end of the strip.

Add antennae to the butterfly’s head.

Draw the outer wings on blue paper.

When finished, you will have two wings.

Then, on the pink paper, draw two smaller wings and cut them out.

Remember that this wing should be smaller than the others.

For the wings, draw circles and drop the shapes onto yellow paper.

You will cut them out and glue them to the wings.

Add glue.

Place the pink wings on top of the blue wings.

Fold the wings back a little.

You will glue the wings to the body of the butterfly.

The wings should point backwards.

Now you can glue the head.

Make sure you press firmly so that the butterfly head adheres to the body.

Draw a small heart on pink paper.

Glue the heart to the butterfly.

Congratulations, you just made your own paper butterfly craft.

Kids love this craft!

You can make as many varieties in as many different colors as you like.
