Today we would like to introduce to you a great summer craft – crab.

We love watching the crabs leisurely sitting on the rocks and enjoying life.

And what we love even more is making great crab dishes.

We made a red and blue crab but these cute creatures would look great in any color.

How to make a crab shaped toilet paper roll craft

What you need:

  • 2 pipe cleaning sticks (we used red sticks for the red crab and black sticks for the blue crab. We recommend using black sticks as they create better contrast)
  • toilet paper roll
  • glue (hot glue recommended)
  • drag
  • black pencil
  • red cardboard
  • white cardboard
  • circular ruler
  • red acrylic or any color you want

Let’s get started!

Step by step instructions

Take a toilet paper roll and coat it with craft paint.

Draw two duck feet on red cardboard. Use a circular ruler.

Cut out the legs and outline them with black eyeliner.

Draw two big eyes.

Take a clean stick and cut it into two large pieces and two smaller pieces.

Take the second cleaning stick and cut it into four equal pieces.

Stick the two smaller cleaning stick pieces vertically onto the paper roll as shown.

Take larger pieces of velvet and glue them into sleeves on each side of the roll.

Glue two pieces of velvet to each side as shown. These will be the legs.

Draw a smile with black eyeliner.

Apply some glue and glue the eyes on.

Apply some glue to the claws and attach them to the arm joints.

Done!

We really enjoyed the results of this crab.

This is our favorite product so far.

Hope you enjoy doing this project.

Now go have fun with your crab friend.
