You can use this card as a gift for your friends and make them really happy.

We are happy to show you how to make such a product in just a few simple steps.

How to Make Dinosaur Pop Up Cards

What you need:

  • a 6×9 inch piece of cardboard
  • a 4×5 inch piece of cardboard
  • pop up card printing
  • drag
  • glue
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • decoration materials (we hand painted the little leaves, but feel free to use any decoration you like, beads, tassels, washi tape…)

Step by step instructions

Start by folding a 4×5 inch piece of cardboard in half.

Using a ruler and pencil, measure 2 cm horizontally and 4 cm vertically (in the middle) on the cardboard.

Using scissors, cut two vertical lines 4cm long on the folded side. This is where we have created the slit.

You can cut multiple lines if you plan on adding other raised artwork to the card.

Next, open the card and fold the edges inward.

Fold the edge in the middle.

Now you can see the tab located inside the card.

Fold the remaining 6×9 inch piece of cardboard in half and glue the smaller piece of cardboard to the inside.

Be careful not to get glue on the tab or it will not open.

So just avoid the tab part and apply glue around it.

Cut out the pop-up prints (use the color version or color with colored pencils to your liking).

You can draw your own artwork if you like and use that instead of a print.

Now paste the little dinosaur into the tab.

Apply some glue to the flowers and arrange them around this cute creature.

Decorate the outside of the pop-up card with the materials you choose.

You can also write a funny message if you like, on the outside or inside of the card. Done!

Wow! You made such a beautiful card!

Just open it and see the animal appear instantly!

Interesting project, right?

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more fun crafts!
