Disguise a Turkey as a Koala Printable Template

Disguised Turkeys are a fun project that kids love to do and it’s a great way to encourage them to do some creative writing. After all, camouflage alone is not enough; you need to know why it works just to make sure the turkey won’t be detected.

How to assemble a Turkish costume into a Koala printable pattern

What you need:

our printable template (you can get a free printable at the end of the tutorial, or you can get the entire 25+ disguises)
paper – regular printer paper is fine, heavier printer paper, cardstock is even better
colorant supply
glue, scissors

Step-by-step instructions

Print the paper with the words I’m not a turkey, I’m… on it, as well as a regular turkey template. You will also need the fabric with the koala disguise parts.

Color the print with text to look like a normal turkey.

The other sheet is where the camouflage will be, so let your child color it accordingly.

Also color the parts of the koala. Cut out parts as well as the body with camouflage.

Start adding camouflage elements. The nose will cover the beak,

Glue all other parts to complete the camouflage.

Now take the first sheet of paper and fold it along the dotted line.

Glue in the middle…

And stick it on the turkey disguised as a koala, making sure it lines up with the normal looking turkey.
