Recipe for making play dough at home

Ingredients for EACH color:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
  • 1 packet, sugar free drink mix (0.14 oz, 3.9g)
  • Yellow food coloring (optional)
  • Green food coloring (optional)

The blue and yellow weren’t very bold with just the drink mix, so I added a little food coloring to make them more vibrant.

Directions: Mix flour, cream of tartar and salt in a bowl.

In a mixing cup, add warm water and drink mix. Stir until completely dissolved.

Add water to the flour mixture and stir well. Let stand for about five minutes.

Knead on floured surface until no longer sticky.

Store in an airtight container for about 2 weeks.
